A few months ago, I met this sweet family for their maternity session outdoors as we celebrated the anticipation of their little boy's arrival. Fast forward to today, and I had the honor of photographing him in their newborn session, finally earthside and surrounded by so much love.
One thing I remembered from their maternity session was the tote full of handmade blankets they brought along. Friends and family had spent time creating them just for him, and each one held a special meaning. It only felt right to include a couple of those blankets in his newborn session as a way to connect these memories and preserve a small piece of the love that welcomed him into the world.
This little guy was an absolute dream. He slept through his entire session without a care in the world. No fighting sleep, no long soothing breaks, just a cozy, content baby who seemed perfectly happy to be snuggled and loved on all morning.
